Recovery – Coast to Coast, the National Podcast is hosted by Neil Scott, who has a rich history in both broadcasting and healthcare. He began his career in the addiction field as the executive director of the Santa Barbara chapter of the National Council on Alcoholism, and later joined their national staff. He went on to be the executive director of the National Foundation for Alcoholism Communications. Neil was the co-founder of Alcoholism & Addiction Magazine, which served the professional field of addiction prevention, education and treatment. In addition, he served as editor of The Alcoholism Report, a legislative field publication. He is a sought-after speaker at national and regional addiction conferences. In the broadcasting arena, Neil produced and co-hosted the first Alcoholism Telethon, (co-hosted by Dick Van Dyke) in Santa Barbara, California. He also hosted the award-winning TV series When Drinking Causes Problems: What To Do, Where To Go. Neil has spent the past 12 years as an update anchor at SportsRadio 950 KJR. He also covers the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners and Washington Huskies for various national radio networks, including Sirius/XM Radio and Fox Sports Radio. In addition, he is the host, (along with co-host Dr. Tom Walsh, Director of the Men’s Health Center at the University of Washington) of Men’s Health Monthly, which airs on SportsRadio 950 KJR and 102.5, KZOK, Seattle Classic Rock Station.
